What boards and residents need to know
A pipe renovation is a decision most housing company boards make once. They need to understand the steps from condition survey to warranty inspection, how methods compare and what the contractor takes off their hands. Many board members also want to see that a contractor explains options fairly before they invite a quote.
Residents have narrower questions. They want to know when to empty the cupboards, where to shower, which week is the noisiest and when the key comes back. If the website answers these for each staircase, the board and the property manager get far fewer phone calls during the work.
How the Pystylinja demo does it
Pystylinja is a fictional contractor that Virtueinfo built to show what we make for this trade. Its signature page is the resident guide. A resident picks staircase A, B or C, and the page shows that staircase's sample dates: the residents' evening, the key handover, where the temporary shower and toilet are, and the day the key comes back.
Below that a strip chart lays the phases across ISO week numbers: preparation, bathroom demolition, pipe work, waterproofing, tiling and fixtures, inspections and handover. Each phase has a short description and a list of resident tasks, such as emptying the cupboard under the kitchen sink or keeping a pet in a closed room. The page works without JavaScript and then shows staircase A.
For boards, the methods page compares traditional renovation, relining and new risers in a table, and states that the company does not do relining itself. The enquiry form asks for apartments, staircases and building year, and shows an indicative age hint as the year is typed.
What we would set up for your company
For a real Finnish contractor we build the site in Finnish with Swedish or English, and make the resident timeline easy to update per project, so each building gets its own page with its own dates. Friday updates and water cut notices can be published there and sent by email or text message.
We set up structured data, your Google Business Profile and pages for the municipalities you work in. Analytics run only after consent, and the enquiry form asks for consent to use the details. Timelines and tables are built to work with screen readers and on a phone, and we maintain the site between projects.
