What homeowners want before they call
People looking for help with old windows, painting or a list of small fixes usually want three things before they get in touch. They want to see that the company does this kind of work, get a rough idea of the price and know what the household tax credit will take off the bill.
Many are older homeowners or busy families who compare two or three firms on a phone in the evening. A site that explains the tax credit in plain words, says what the company does not do and makes the quote request short wins the first contact.
How the Saranapaja demo does it
Saranapaja is a fictional company that Virtueinfo built to show what we make for this trade. Its signature feature is the household tax credit calculator, with a quick version on the home page and a full page of its own. The customer enters the labour cost including VAT, chooses how many people will claim the credit and can add materials.
The calculator shows the estimated credit, the split per claimant, the labour cost after the credit and the total with materials. Because each claimant carries their own deductible, the calculator points out when one claimant would get a larger credit than two on a small job. It uses the rules for tax year 2026, says where they were checked, and labels every result as an estimate, not a binding quote.
The projects page shows illustrated examples marked as examples, each with labour, materials, the estimated credit and the price after it. The quote request form asks for the type of work, the area and the home type, and has a box for a labour breakdown on the invoice.
What we would set up for your company
For a real Finnish company we build the site in Finnish with Swedish or English, and keep the calculator's rules in one place so they are easy to update when the tax year changes. Quote requests can go to email or your job management software, with photos attached.
We set up HomeAndConstructionBusiness structured data, your Google Business Profile and service pages for the towns you cover. Analytics load only after consent. The calculator and forms work with a keyboard and screen reader, the sticky contact bar stays usable on small phones, and we maintain the site after launch.
