Website for a furniture maker

Koivu Furniture is a demo website we built for a solid wood furniture workshop in Lahti. Visitors switch woods and fabrics on each product, find a dealer and send a trade enquiry.

In the call we show you the working demo and how it would look for your business.

Koivu Furniture is a fictional business in Lahti, created by Virtueinfo to show what we build.

What furniture buyers look for on the website

Someone furnishing a dining room wants to see the piece in the wood they have in mind, know the starting price and lead time, and find a shop where they can sit on the chair before buying. An interior designer wants drawings, samples, custom sizes and one person to talk to. A shop owner wants to know how to become a dealer.

Koivu Furniture is a fictional workshop that Virtueinfo made to show what we build. The site serves all three groups without sending anyone through a page meant for someone else.

How the demo shows wood and finish

The signature feature is the switcher on the home page and the product pages. Pick birch, oak or black-stained ash and the drawing of the Tyyni lounge chair or the Aamu dining table changes colour. Pick wool or leather, or a table length, and the spec list, the price and the enquiry link update with it. The colours come from CSS, so the page stays fast and nothing has to be photographed eight times.

The collection page filters eight pieces by living room, dining, and storage and bedroom. The finishes page explains how each wood ages and how to care for oiled and lacquered surfaces. When a visitor clicks the enquiry button on a product, the trade form opens with that piece already ticked.

The dealer page lists sample shops in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku and Oulu, says which pieces each one has on display, and ends with what a new dealer gets: display pieces, sample sets and product texts in two languages.

What we would set up for your workshop

For a real Finnish furniture maker we build the site in Finnish and English, and in Swedish if you sell to Sweden or Swedish-speaking Finland. Prices are shown including VAT. We set up your Google Business Profile for the showroom and write product and dealer pages that can be found in local search.

Trade enquiries go to your email or CRM, and a dealer list can be kept up to date by your own staff. Analytics only start after the visitor has given consent, the forms ask for no more than you need, and the site is built to meet accessibility requirements. We stay on for maintenance, updates and new products when your collection grows.

Who builds your website

Virtueinfo has built web and mobile software since 2004. The team that made this demo designs, builds and maintains your site.

“We have worked with Virtueinfo for the past seven years. They have been reliable and efficient with their work, helping us along the way by being an agile and responsive development house. The know-how has ranged from front to back-end development and quality has always met our standards. Warm recommendation.”

Questions we often hear

Can the product switcher use photos instead of drawings?

Yes. If you have photos of each piece in each wood, the switcher can swap photos instead of recolouring a drawing. Drawings are a good choice when the range has many combinations and photographing them all is not practical.

Can I sell furniture online through the website?

Yes, we can add a shop with a cart and payments. Many made-to-order workshops prefer an enquiry or quote request instead, because delivery and custom sizes need a conversation, and we can build either.

Can dealers update their own details?

We can give each dealer a login to edit their address, opening hours and the pieces they have on display. Or your own staff can keep the list current from one admin page.
