What cabin guests want to know before they ask
A couple coming for the northern lights wants a dark sky and a hot tub. A family on a ski week counts bedrooms, looks for a drying cabinet and checks the distance to the slopes. Summer guests want the midnight sun and a sauna by the lake. All of them want to see free dates and a rough price before they write to anyone.
Tykky Cabins Levi is a fictional business that Virtueinfo made to show what we build. The demo is in English only, because many cabin guests in Lapland come from abroad. For a real client we would build the Finnish version as well.
How the demo handles cabins and dates
The home page starts with a search: how many guests, and whether the cabin must have a sauna, a fireplace or a hot tub. The cabins page opens with those choices applied and shows how many of the six cabins match. If nothing fits, it suggests removing a filter or booking two neighbouring cabins.
The signature feature is the availability calendar on the booking page. The guest picks a cabin, taps a check-in day and a check-out day, and booked nights are greyed out. If the chosen range crosses a booked night, the page says so straight away. A summary beside the form shows the cabin, nights, guests and a sample estimate, and makes clear that no payment is taken on the page.
The Kuukkeli cabin page has a floor plan with room sizes, amenities grouped by warmth, kitchen, outdoors and practical details, and a table of sample prices by season with the minimum stay.
What we would set up for your rental business
For a real cabin owner in Finland we build the site in Finnish and English, and add Swedish or German if your guests need it. Prices are shown including VAT. We set up your Google Business Profile and write cabin pages that can be found in searches for your area.
The calendar can read availability from your booking system or channel manager, so the site never shows a night that is already sold elsewhere. Enquiries go to your email, or the site can take bookings and deposits online if you prefer. Analytics only start after consent, the site is built to meet accessibility requirements, and we look after updates and seasonal changes.
